Tips for the Perfect Coconut-Lime Mocktail

  • Lime Prep: Muddling the lime slices with a touch of sugar releases their natural oils, enhancing the citrusy flavor. Don’t skip this step!
  • Sweetness: Adjust the sugar to your taste, or skip it if you prefer a less sweet drink—the AOOC Coconut Balsamic adds plenty of natural sweetness.
  • Chill Factor: For an extra refreshing drink, chill your coconut water and sparkling water beforehand.
  • Make It a Cocktail: Add a splash of rum or vodka if you’d like to turn this mocktail into a cocktail for the adults.

Ingredients

  • 4 fresh limes
  • 1 Tbsp AOOC Coconut Balsamic (adjust to your taste preferences)
  • 4 oz sparkling water
  • 4 oz coconut water
  • 1 tsp Coconut Balsamic, for muddling (or use sugar)
  • Ice (crushed and for shaking)
  • Optional: Mint sprig for garnish

Instructions

    1. Prepare the Limes: Cut 2 limes into thin slices for garnish. Juice the remaining 2 limes to get approximately 1 oz of lime juice.
    2. Muddle: In a sturdy glass, muddle the lime slices with 1 tsp sugar to release the juices and blend the flavors.
    3. Mix: Transfer the muddled lime and sugar mixture into a cocktail shaker. Add ice, 1 oz lime juice, 4 oz coconut water, and 2 tbsp AOOC Coconut Balsamic. (If you don’t have a shaker a mason jar with lid would also work!)
    4. Shake: Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds to combine.
    5. Serve: Fill two glasses with crushed ice. Pour the shaken mixture evenly over the ice, then top each glass with 2 oz sparkling water.
    6. Garnish and Enjoy: Stir gently. Garnish with a lime slice or a sprig of mint. Serve immediately
