A Classic Soup with a Flavor Upgrade
Tomato bisque is a comforting classic, but this version takes it to the next level. By using Basik’s Italian or Salt-Free Seasoning Blend, you can infuse the soup with perfectly balanced Mediterranean flavors without juggling multiple spices. It’s an effortless way to add depth and sophistication to a family favorite.
The Power of Basik’s Seasoning Blend
Traditional tomato bisque often relies on salt, basil, and a few herbs. Basik’s Italian Seasoning Blend delivers garlic, onion, herbs, and citrus notes all in one, making your bisque flavorful and aromatic. The Salt-Free Blend is a wonderful alternative if you want to control sodium while still getting robust, layered flavors.

Olive Oil: More Than Just a Cooking Medium
Instead of neutral oils, this recipe shines with AOOC Olive Oil. EVOO or Tuscan Herb olive oil adds a rich, savory depth that complements the tomatoes. Basil olive oil accentuates the bright, fresh tomato flavors. Using a high-quality olive oil not only cooks the vegetables but becomes part of the flavor foundation for your bisque.
Balsamic Adds Complexity
Adding AOOC Balsamic transforms this bisque from good to extraordinary. A few teaspoons of 18-Year Barrel-Aged Traditional, Espresso, or Dark Chocolate Balsamic enhance the richness of the tomatoes while cutting their natural acidity. Each balsamic option brings a unique layer: traditional adds subtle sweetness, espresso introduces a deep roasted note, and dark chocolate gives indulgent warmth.

Creamy, Comforting, and Customizable
After simmering and blending the soup, a touch of heavy cream creates a silky texture that’s luxurious yet approachable. Top with fresh basil or parsley, and pair with warm bread for a comforting, crowd-pleasing meal. This bisque is perfect for weeknight dinners, cozy lunches, or as a starter for a special occasion.
